10 Reasons to LOVE the Sun

Valentine’s Day is meant as a time to appreciate loved ones, and we think it’s a good opportunity to shower the sun with a well deserved tribute. The sun has unlimited good qualities, but in the interest of space, we limited our list to just 10. As you go down the list, we hope you will remember just how much you can’t live without it!

1. It’s smart
   The sun provides us with renewable energy, which is self-replenishing and never runs dry. Harvesting sunlight does not harm the environment or raise gas prices, and it can be done domestically.
2. It’s attractive
   We can give the sun credit for gorgeous weather and healthy, glowing complexions. In addition, solar products geared to absorb sunlight are getting prettier, too, with solar shingles now available and things like decorative solar cells on the horizon.
3. It’s hardworking
   The sun works tirelessly for your home, giving of its photons for the electricity conversion process. Because of all its hard work, your entire household can run more efficiently, and your utility bills can be lower, too.
4. It’s generous
   For as long as it shines, the sun never stops giving. Open up your home to the sun with solar skylights and solar windows, and it will provide all the more comfort, warmth, light – all critical to a positive lifestyle.
5. It’s thoughtful
   The sun can do things you wouldn’t have thought were possible, even keeping your pool warm at night with solar pool covers. Admit it, it spoils you.
6. It’s resourceful
   So much so that it convinces the government to pay YOU. Just look up some popular resources, like DSIRE, for solar incentives to see for yourself.
7. It has a platform
   The sun can take responsibility for adding $2 billion into the U.S. economy in 2007 and creating 6,000 new jobs. If the sun were a person, it could run for president.
8. It’s spontaneous
   Aside from the occasional cloudy mood we are all entitled to have, the sun is always ready and rearing to go wherever you go. Especially with a growing list of portable options such as solar panels to go and mini solar cell straps.
9. It makes a damn good cup of tea
   There’s nothing like a cup of sun-warmed tea to soothe and please, and to enjoy the simple pleasure of a day. As if that weren’t enough, naturally heated tea from the sun requires no stovetop or other electricity-run appliance.
10. You can’t live without it
    Literally. Without the sun, nothing that matters to you would be around to love, so take the time to love the sun.
