What could be cooler for an Earth Day celebration than festivities that feature solar power and new solar technologies? There is so much innovation in the area of solar power and the best way to get the word out is to bring the power to the people!

Here are some big events around Cali that can teach you new ways to help save our planet while having tons of fun at the same time. Take a field trip and check it out:

Earth Day Napa
Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Napa Valley College Soccer Fields

The Environmental Education Coalition of Napa County is hosting Earth Day celebrations in conjunction with Napa Valley College’s Solar Celebration. The event will hold games for people of all ages along with entertainment for adults as well as separate entertainment for the kids. The college, which was built in 2006, is completely powered by a solar system which they have just beyond their ball fields on a portion of land that was unsuitable for campus construction. Each year they host a Solar Celebration to teach others the benefits of solar power.

WorldFest
Saturday, May 16, from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Woodley Park in Encino, California

This is a “solar-powered celebration” that welcomes the public to learn about solar power. The L.A. affair boasts music, food, inspired speakers, children’s activities, and efforts to bring further awareness to the needs of our planet and its inhabitants: human, animal, and plant. More specifically, there will be an EcoTent where people can gather to listen to speakers, see demonstrations, and join in discussions about sustainable living and other environmental issues.
