COLEXON Signs Deal for 15-MW PV Plants in France
COLEXON Energy AG is expanding its horizons, always reaching for the sun. Earlier this year, the German company successfully entered the U.S. market with their first stateside solar rooftop at Arizona State University. Now, just a few months later, COLEXON penetrated the French market by inking a deal with tnp Mitteldeutsche Fonds Beteiligungs GmbH (tnp MFB) to build solar plants in France with a peak capacity of 15 megawatts (MW).
The framework contract reaches into eight figures – reportedly, more than $10 million USD – and is the largest investor contract in COLEXON’s history. The plants are slated to be built in France by the end of 2011. The company also recently announced that they acquired property rights and permission to build a 25-MW photovoltaic plant in Sainte-Foy-Bordeaux, a wine growing region in the south of France.
COLEXON Energy is an international, manufacturer-independent photovoltaic systems integrator. In other words, they design and install photovoltaic plants in Germany and increasingly abroad. The company focuses on projects producing at least 100 kW and specializes in thin-film technology.
