Linking the Solar World
The world today is a growing global community. As sure as my neighbor might be reading this, so might my “neighbors” across the globe in Japan, India, and Europe. The solar industry has grown within that community and the solar innovations we are relishing today are a joint, global effort.
With that in mind, we here at CalFinder Solar do our best to keep all our readers in touch with solar energy news, information, products, and innovations as they occur around the world. As we have in the past, we will continue to provide you with links for navigating the solar world… Here are three more stories of solar growth overseas:
- Israel’s largest solar power plant went online last month; another step toward the country’s aggressive national renewable energy standard (see their lucrative feed-in tariff).
- In Australia, SunPower Corp. will construct a 505 kW solar ground-mount system with solar tracking capabilities; it will be the largest solar tracking system in Australia.
- Iran’s first solar power plant is now open. And it was built using Iranian materials and knowledge; another small example of the large potential of solar power for creating domestic and fruitful jobs.
