Thanks for the feedback Ken. If I missed a message you sent, certainly try me again. I'm not a power twitter user, so feel free to contact me via my blog. I like to think the subject of building your own solar is one worth discussing. If this offends those working in the solar industry, that certainly wouldn't be my intention.

Best Regards

Dear Calfinder,

While this is actually a legitimately informative article, I'd like to ask that you do DUE DILIGENCE on the author and her website before promoting her as a "solar spokesperson".

Go to Anja's "Solar Home Review" blog from the link above, and you'll see prominent links to the subject of "DIY Solar Panels". This should tip off any legitimate solar worker —HAS ANYONE EVER THOUGHT THEY COULD SAVE MONEY BY BUILDING YOUR OWN SOLAR PANEL? I doubt that anyone at Calfinder thinks so.

There are several web articles debunking these scammers, who are preying on people new to solar, and confusing an already complex subject by selling worthless PDFs for $50, with a large commission to the affiliate website.

Several months ago, I asked Anja (@solarfly), via Twitter DM, to answer my allegations ...just in case she didn't realize what she was doing. No response. I guess I need to compile a list of people like her, and post it. Some of the biggest "solar" tweeters are Earth4Energy scammers, because they set up newsfeeds that report mostly real solar news, while sprinkling in links to their affiliate pranksters. @altern3power @denversolarguy @solarmaandpa It's sickening.

There's a complete write up of how the DIY solar scam operates on my blog: http://www.kenoatman.com

People who are actually working toward a renewable future need to ACTIVELY oppose the scams that are chipping away at our integrity.

Anja, you have a useful writing talent, please find another avenue to use it —besides selling useless PDFs to skim off affiliate commissions from the unwary.
