In the Energy Policy Act of 2005, Section 110, Congress required the U.S. Department of Energy to perform an extensive study. In March 2009, "Impact of Extended Daylight Saving Time on National Energy Consumption" was sent to Congress.
I was a volunteer development & review participant of this study which was undertaken by the National Energy Lab in Richland, Washington.
If you'd like a copy of the study, please send me an email and I'll attach it to a reply.
I'd also be willing to comment for the record on the opinions you expressed in your article.
